Kevin Kennedy

Executive Vice-President and Head of North American Market Services at Nasdaq

Mr. Kennedy is the Executive Vice-President and Head of North American Market Services (NAMS) at Nasdaq. He currently leads the NAMS team across North American Equities, including Canada, U.S. Options, Marketing, Sales, Market Operations and Communications. Prior to this role, he served as Head of U.S. Derivatives at Nasdaq, responsible for the full slate of Nasdaq options and futures products. He brings significant capital market expertise in equities and options trading to CIRO’s Board.

Mr. Kennedy also serves as board member for the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) and Nasdaq Canada (Nasdaq CXC Limited). He previously served as board member on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, prior to its acquisition by Nasdaq.

Mr. Kennedy began his career as an independent market maker in 1987. He has served as President of his own trading firm, Vice-President in the Goldman Sachs Equities division, and since 2007 has held various roles at Nasdaq.

He graduated from La Salle University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
