June 13, 2022 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Everest Nicholas Louis D’Souza (the “Respondent”) by Notice of Hearing dated December 16, 2021 (“Notice of Hearing”).
An appearance in this proceeding was held on June 10, 2022 by videoconference before a Hearing Panel of the MFDA’s Central Regional Council.
Following submissions by the parties, the Hearing Panel confirmed that the hearing of this matter on its merits will proceed electronically by videoconference on August 30, 2022, commencing at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern). The Hearing Panel also scheduled an interim appearance on July 15, 2022, commencing at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern). The proceeding will be open to the public, except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters. Members of the public who would like to participate should contact hearings@ciro.ca to obtain particulars.
A copy of the Notice of Hearing is available on the MFDA website at www.mfda.ca. During the period described in the Notice of Hearing, the Respondent conducted business in the Markham, Ontario area.
