Executive Summary

IIROC currently posts a list of securities that are subject to Single-Stock Circuit Breakers (“SSCBs”)1daily on our website.

As of June 27, 2016, Dealer Members and marketplaces may also download the list of SSCB-eligible securities via a Secure File Transfer Protocol (“SFTP”) connection to an IIROC server.  IIROC will release the daily SSCB-eligible securities list in the new format no later than 1:30 a.m. ET. 

Dealer Members that report debt transactions to IIROC will automatically have access to the latest list of SSCB-eligible securities in a folder entitled “SSCBs List” in the Reference Data directory on the server.   Other Dealer Members and marketplaces that wish to download the SSCB-eligible securities list will need to set up an SFTP account with IIROC.  Marketplaces will have access to the SSCB-eligible securities list from their home folder with download permissions only.

SSCB Trigger Levels

IIROC revised the SSCB trigger criteria for qualifying leveraged Exempt Exchange-traded Funds, based on the extent of leverage of these securities2. To reflect this change, the list of SSCB-eligible securities will include an additional column indicating the SSCB trigger level for each security.
